Making Every Photon Count
Biofunctional Materials meets Rotary At the invitation of the Rotary Club of Straubing, Rubén gave an engaging presentation on the biogenization of technology. Using impressive examples from nature, he demonstrated how research into biogenic functional materials can improve existing technologies, conserve the environment, save resources, and make them more effective at the same time. In…
Rubén was invited to at Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg – Sweden. Afterwards, Rubén gave a seminar on our research into protein-based optoelectronics and had fruitful discussions with the Chalmers community.
Nina Franke will support our project BioSinFin from 01.01.2026 on. She received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the Martin-Luther-Universität in Halle-Wittenberg and her master’s degree in biochemistry from TUM – Campus Garching. Now she will start her PhD at the BFM. A warm and heartly welcome, Nina!
Edgard Alejandro Miranda Sáenz has joined CINN/CSIC as a PhD candidate to support the successful development of BioSinFin. Welcome on board!!
Last Friday night we had great fun at the European Researchers’ Night! We met hundreds of curious people and enjoyed sharing the beautiful part of science together with a broad public! We showcased our research topics, discussed the relationship between science and innovation towards new technological solutions to current problems. Innovation always starts in the…
